Transing and Transpassing Across Sex-Gender Walls in Iran

The article focuses on transgenderism and transsexuality in Iran. It highlights the prevalence of transgenderism and transsexuality in Iran. It provides a brief history of transsexuality in Iran, as well as the prevalence of surgical sex change that is said to date back to the early 1970s. It also covers the method by which the topic of transsexuality in an Islamic state has been covered and depicted by the Iranian press.
